surf snowdoniaThe arrival of Surf Snowdonia at the beginning of the month has introduced a whole new format for competitive surfers and stands as the world-first Wavegarden lagoon. Located at the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, this is the ideal destination to spend your day. You can sit back and relax whilst watching the surfers on the waves, or even have a go yourself, but is the perfect location to admire the beautiful scenery on offer.

On 18th & 19th September 2015 Surf Snowdonia in Dolgarrog, Wales will be hosting Red Bull Unleashed, an event which will see the most creative surfers from around the world descend in this magnificent attraction.

Surf Snowdonia is a revolutionary world-first inland surf lagoon and one of the UK’s most exciting and compelling outdoor adventure activities. It’s a powerful two-metre wave that rises at the centre of the lagoon, with waves of over 150 metres.

Surfing lessons can be bought by the hour or in groups, and are led by pro surfers at Surf Snowdonia. However, if you don’t wish to participate yourself you can park up and watch the surfers for free, whilst enjoying the surroundings and dining at The Surfside Bar and Restaurant which is onsite.

As for Red Bull Unleashed, this is a unique first-of-its-kind contest which will bring 24 of the world’s best surfers to North Wales. There will be an array of head-to-head contests on the waves, where surfers will compete for the first time without the unpredictability of the natural conditions playing their part.

Tickets cost only £8 each and can be booked online. Surf Snowdonia also has camping pods available to book for overnight accommodation, with a full-breakfast included in the price. Each pod can accommodate up to four people, so get your family and friends together and join in with all the fun to be had at Surf Snowdonia.
