Preparations are well under way for what will be another incredible festival that goes by the name of ‘Festival Number 6’ on September 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th 2015. The surreal location is the small town of Portmeirion, which is a small, exquisite Italian style coastal village with forest surrounding it. It boasts a backdrop of the Snowdonia mountain range, which pretty much makes it one of the coolest locations in the world to hold a festival.
Over the past few years, this festival has built a reputation through providing an incredible experience for all those that visit, in the form of music, arts & culture, food & drink and a range of onsite and nearby activities. The festival has become a huge event for the area of North Wales and thanks to its ongoing growth is able to attract an incredible line up of performers who are eager to show you, the crowd of Festival Number 6 exactly what they can do.
The aim of the festival organisers is to provide a bespoke line up of acts and stalls that include iconic headliners, upcoming new talents and a host of DJ’s. Then, they have arranged a host of stalls and activities alongside other entertainment outlets that make for the ultimate music, eating, comedy adventure holiday event that you will no doubt be pencilling in your calendars for the following year.
In 2015 you can expect a music range from rock’ n roll to house, Balearic to folk sea shanties to Welsh male choirs, meaning there truly is something for everyone. There will be a wealth of arts and culture type performances that complement the other offerings of this fairy-tail style festival. Music from Metronomy, Mark Ronson, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Aficionado among many others that can be seen on the Festival Number 6 Website are gearing up to wow audiences.
Further happenings among the scenic, rather than crowded festival include such activities as paddle boarding, woodland walks, torch lit parades, swimming, kids activities and cinematic experiences, along with themed events to the classic cult TV show ‘The Prisoner’, which was set in Portmeirion.
