The dazzling summer sun continues to shine across the North Wales coastline and Welsh mountain ranges. So what better way to relish in that sunshine than by heading over to Surf Snowdonia and enjoying some incredible entertainment by local musical talent?
Situated in the Conwy Valley, Surf Snowdonia is an adventure park with a world-exclusive surfing lagoon and will be host to their first ever music festival this year. They’ve called it the Electric Wave Festival, and judging by everything they’ve got lined up, it’s set to be a major musical event for the North Wales area.
Anyone who frequents festivals throughout the year will no doubt be familiar with the vast amount of activities at your disposal during a music festival; comedy, with activities unique to the location still available. You’ll be able to get involved in the crash and splash lagoon, a high-intensity assault course full of spinning balls, monkey bars, a balance beam and rope bridge.
The line-up over the three day weekend will consist of the well-known headline acts such as Badly Drawn Boy, Bez from the Happy Mondays, General Levy, Cirque Du Soul DJ’s and 25 Years of Cream. Support will come in the form of local artists such as Showhawk Duo, AP Cooper and Billy Bibby and the Wry Smiles, who you may know as the former lead guitarist from Llandudno based band Catfish and the Bottlemen.
Considering the amount of fun and excitement to be had the ticket prices have been made extremely reasonable. Weekend tickets will cost only £50, with individual day tickets costing £20 each. Any families attending will certainly be pleased to find out that any children under 10 years old will be allowed free access.
This event will continue to expand and grow over the years to come, attracting bigger artists and displaying even more local talent. So for more information on activities, ticket prices and performances head over to the official Electric Wave Festival website.
