We understand that for a lot of animal lovers, holidaying abroad isn’t an option when it means you have to leave beloved family members behind or in a kennel. We know how you feel. Our dogs are indeed part of our family, and leaving them behind can be stressful for both us and them. There’s so many businesses nowadays that cite themselves as “luxury animal hotels” but really, what could be better than taking your dog to a luxury, dog friendly Hotel Snowdonia intended to be the height of style for human beings? No dog hotel can beat that!
But why the Snowdonia region? Within North Wales you can’t find a better variety of historic World Heritage sites, slate quarries, Celtic shrines and cultural centres. Dog friendly attractions include the majestic Snowdon itself, the Coed y Brenin Forest Park, the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway, the Wales Coastal Path and even Snowdonia National Park itself.
But what about accommodation? Does dog friendly mean that you have to live in a kennel yourself? Absolutely not. There’s a gorgeous Country Manor called Ty’n Rhos which is located on an open plain just 6 miles from Snowdonia National Park.
One of the more beautiful boutique hotels in Snowdonia we’ve seen, they are very dog friendly and have expansive gardens.
They state that your dog is completely free to roam them freely. The Tyn Rhos Country Manor provide doggie bags for picking up after your own pooch to prevent embarrassment, and have a small and very reasonable set of house rules (and a £5 charge for your bestie’s stay) but you may feel confident that they are very suitable for all canine companions above 12 months of age.
Prevent heartache when you go on holiday this year. Take your dog with you and visit Snowdonia – a marriage of coast and country, old and new – where we’re certain that there’s enough to do to both entertain you and show your dog experiences they certainly wouldn’t get on an average walkies.
